Rita Kananen

Rita Kananen has a diverse work experience. Rita started their career in 1977 at NCR Comten as a Contract Administrator and held this position until 1982. In 2005, they joined Pillar Technology as a Financial Controller, where they established and managed accounting systems and implemented internal controls. Rita also trained staff in payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. In 2010, they transitioned to the role of Employee Engagement Manager at Pillar Technology, and in 2017, they became the Curator of People Experience. Currently, they hold the position of Director of People Experience, which they started in August 2018.

Rita Kananen began their education at Gogebic Community College, where they pursued an Associate degree in Applied Business from 1974 to 1976. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the SPHR certification from HRCI in January 2015 and the SHRM-SCP certification from SHRM in May 2015.
