Guillaume Lafont has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Guillaume started their career as a Research and Development Engineer at SYSECA in 1991, after which they held the position of Project Engineer from 1993 to 1994. Following this, they worked as a Business Development Manager in the Energy sector at SYSECA from 1995 to 1999.

In 1999, Guillaume joined PILLER France as a Sales Director, responsible for sales and after-sales services. Over time, they progressed to become the Managing Director of PILLER France, a role they have held since September 2002. During their time at PILLER France, they have been instrumental in driving the company's growth, expanding its market presence in French-speaking territories including France, Belgium, Switzerland, Algeria, Senegal, Ivory Coast, and Morocco. Guillaume's expertise lies in power protection technologies, particularly high-power UPS systems, microgrids, stabilizers, kinetic energy stores, and ground power systems for aircraft and ships.

Guillaume Lafont holds a Bachelor's degree from Saint Louis de Gonzague-Franklin, which they obtained between 1971 and 1983. Guillaume then attended Lycée Janson-de-Sailly for Classes Préparatoires from 1983 to 1986. Guillaume went on to study at CentraleSupélec from 1986 to 1989, where they obtained a Dipl. Ing in Electrical & Computer Engineering. Guillaume further pursued their education at the Illinois Institute of Technology from 1988 to 1989, earning an M.Sc. in Electrical & Computer Engineering. Lastly, Guillaume attended INSEAD from 1994 to 1995, obtaining an MBA in Business.
