Hendrik Kits van Heyningen has a diverse work experience history. Hendrik started their career at Yale University as a Mathematics Course Grader from January 2012 to November 2013. Hendrik then joined KVH Industries Inc. as an Engineering Special Projects Researcher, focusing on problems related to Inertial Navigation Systems used by military vehicles. During their time there, they developed and invented a new calibration algorithm for 3D inertial navigation using MATLAB simulations.

In 2014, Hendrik joined Analytics Operations Engineering (now McKinsey & Co.) as an Analyst. Hendrik led a highly-quantitative team working with Pilytix, LLC to create and refine company-specific Bayesian hierarchical models and other advanced machine learning algorithms for sales pipeline analysis.

In 2016, Hendrik transitioned to Pilytix as the Vice President of Data Science. Hendrik played a key role in overseeing the development of technology and predictive modeling for the company's Explainable AI and Data Management software-as-a-service product. Hendrik also managed a team of software engineers to rebuild the core web application with Python Flask and ReactJS.

Currently, Hendrik serves as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at PILYTIX, overseeing all technology and predictive modeling for the company's Explainable AI and Data Management product. Hendrik architected and developed data pipelines using Python 3, Apache Airflow, and PostgreSQL, involving data ingestion, cleaning, mapping, error handling, and delivery for production use. Hendrik also led the rebuilding of the core web application to enhance client portals' customization and interactivity using Python Flask and ReactJS.

Hendrik Kits van Heyningen pursued their education by first attending St. George's School from 2006 to 2010 to complete their high school education. Hendrik then went on to enroll in Yale University from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics & Physics.
