Elizabeth Howell

Executive Director, Media, Community & Government Relations at Pima Community College

Elizabeth Howell is the current Executive Director for Media, Community and Government Relations at Pima Community College. Elizabeth has also previously worked for Southwest Gas Corporation as an Administrator/Consumer & Community Affairs from January 1988 to December 1990. In this role, Elizabeth was responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with community non-profits and consumer organizations, as well as finding new ways to demonstrate the Company’s good corporate citizenship to the communities it serves. Additionally, they managed the Company’s philanthropic budget and employee volunteer team activities, monitored consumer attitudes to ensure quality service to customers, and served as a registered lobbyist for the company, interacting with state and local elected officials.

Before their work at Southwest Gas Corporation, Elizabeth was a Board member for Arizona's Children Assn from January 1982 to December 1988. In this role, they were responsible for the oversight of the organization. Elizabeth also served as the Director/Membership for Metropolitan Tucson Convention & Visitors Bureau during this time.

Elizabeth Howell has a Bachelor of Arts in English and Music from Adams State College. Elizabeth also has a certification from the Public Relations Society of America in APR - Accredited in Public Relations.

Elizabeth Howell reports to Phil Burdick, Vice Chancellor for External Relations.
