Kate Schmidt

Executive Director, Faculty Affairs & Development at Pima Community College

Kate Schmidt is currently the Executive Director for Faculty Affairs and Development at Pima Community College. Kate has previously served in various leadership roles at the college, including Dean of Online Development and Advanced Program Manager in the Provost's Office. Kate has also been instrumental in developing online education programs at Pima Community College and has served as a Program Manager for both Program and Resource Development and Instructional Support Services. Prior to their work at Pima Community College, Kate was the Program Director for Child & Family Resources and the Special Projects Coordinator for Luz Social Services, Inc. Kate began their career as a Volunteer with AmeriCorp VISTA. Kate is a dedicated leader with a passion for education and helping others.

Kate Schmidt attended the University of Vermont, where they earned their BS in Art Education. Kate then attended the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management, where they earned their MPA in 1995. Kate is currently completing a certificate in Change Leadership from Cornell University.

Kate Schmidt reports to Dolores Duran-Cerda, Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Excellence. Kate Schmidt works with Michael Parker - Dean of Education, Humanities & Social Sciences, Kenneth Chávez - Dean of Communications, and Jennifer Madrid - Acting Dean of Students.
