Nicola Richmond is the Vice Chancellor for Strategy, Analytics and Research at Pima Community College. Nicola has held this position since September 2017. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Strategist and Assistant Vice Chancellor at Pima Community College from January 2014 to July 2020. In that role, they oversaw strategic planning, mission/vision/values, institutional research, and institutional and operational effectiveness. Nicola has been with Pima Community College since January 2014.
Nicola Richmond obtained their bachelor's degree in Geophysical Sciences from the University of Southampton. Nicola then went on to obtain their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from UCL. Nicola has also obtained certification from TDWI in TDWI Data Governance Fundamentals, as well as certification from Coursera in Sequences, Time Series and Prediction, TensorFlow in Practice Specialization, Convolutional Neural Networks in TensorFlow, Introduction to TensorFlow for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning, and Natural Language Processing in TensorFlow. Additionally, they have also obtained certification from the Institute for the Future in Foresight Practitioner Training, as well as certification from Coursera Course Certificates in Astro 101: Black Holes, Strategic Management, Archaeoastronomy, and Wonders of Ancient Egypt.
