Alena Pappas is an experienced educator and health professional with a solid background in public health. Currently serving as an Instructor and Internship Monitor at Pima JTED since August 2023, Alena conducts physical site visits to ensure compliance with Internship Program Guidelines while assisting students and worksite supervisors. Previously, Alena held various roles including Substitute Teacher at Troon and a range of positions in hospitality at JW Marriott and Planned Parenthood of Maryland, where responsibilities included education on sexual health and serving in food and beverage capacities. Alena holds a Master of Science in Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of Arizona, complemented by early experiences as a Lab Assistant, Intern, and Patient Transporter.
