Sam Olivares-Mejia

Sam Olivares-Mejia is a Geographic Information Systems Analyst at Pima County since August 2025. Prior experience includes serving as Park Support Lead for the National Park Service's Scientists in Parks Program and an internship with NASA's Earth to Sky program focused on climate interpretation. Sam was a Dangermond Fellow at the National Audubon Society, aimed at developing future leaders in GIS within nonprofit sectors, and worked as a GIS Assistant with the National Park Service. Early career roles include various leadership positions at Haverford College, encompassing advocacy for diversity and inclusion, admissions, and research experiences at both Bryn Mawr College and Harvard University. Sam earned a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and Biology from Haverford College.
