Lucas Silva Simōes

Lucas Silva Simões is a Machine Learning Engineer and Data Scientist at PIMLOC, where responsibilities include training deep learning computer vision models and enhancing database infrastructure. Previously, Lucas served as a PhD Candidate and Researcher at UCL's Gatsby Computational Neuroscience Unit, focusing on machine learning models to explore human memory and decision-making, while also teaching courses on theoretical neuroscience and probabilistic learning. Experience as a Research Scientist at Alena involved mathematical modeling, data analysis, and the design of reinforcement learning models. Earlier roles include administering a computer lab at the Universidade de São Paulo. Lucas holds a PhD in Theoretical Neuroscience and Machine Learning from UCL, as well as a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Physics from USP.
