Lucas Espindola is currently a DevOps Engineer at Pinata. Prior to this, they were the Co-Founder & CTO at Rebuyyy and an Application Architect at Ldsoft Consulting.

Lucas has always been interested in technology and how it can be used to make people's lives better. This led him to co-found Rebuyyy, a platform for pricing, selling or donating unused electronic assets. The goal of the company was to help extend the useful life of electronics, stimulate the second hand market and offer an easy option for correct disposal.

During their time at Rebuyyy, Lucas developed a web scraping solution to gather information from major e-commerce platforms and build an AI system in order to help users price, sell and donate unused electronic assets. Lucas also built an hybrid mobile App for iOS and Android.

In 2018, Lucas joined Ldsoft Consulting as an Application Architect. In this role, they guided development teams on various projects, designed system architectures and worked with field experts in areas such as thermohydraulic simulation, asset optimization, project feasibility and economic analysis, risk analysis and Monte Carlo simulations.

Lucas led 5 distributed software system projects, creating and extending React components for mobile/web front-end as well as d3.js for interactive data visualization, and RESTFul Microservices using technologies such as ASP.NET Core, SignalR for real-time messaging and push content to client Apps. Lucas also tested, coded, reviewed and delivered software with 100% on-time record and according to Service Level Objectives (SLOs), performed integrations between internal and external APIs, supporting other development and testing teams for third-party companies.

In 2019, they built continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps which increased code delivery speed by 50%.

Lucas is currently a DevOps Engineer at Pinata where they are responsible for the smooth running of our computer systems. Lucas is also responsible for ensuring that our systems are up to date and secure.

Lucas Espindola has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Universidade Federal Fluminense and a certification in Industrial Property from Universidade Federal Fluminense.
