Pat Thompson

Pat Thompson has been working in the manufacturing industry since 2010. Pat began their career as a Manufacturing Engineering Technician at Senior Flexonics - GA Precision. In 2019, they moved to Pindel Global Precision, Inc. where they took on the role of Business Unit Manager - CNC. In 2021, they were promoted to Director of Manufacturing - CNC at Pindel Global Precision, Inc and Liberty Precision.

The first time I heard about the term “sustainable development” was in a course I took in college. The professor was talking about how the world is facing an environmental crisis and how important it is for us to start thinking about sustainable development. Pat explained that sustainable development is a way of meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Pat went on to explain that sustainable development is a process of finding solutions to global problems that are both economically and environmentally sound.

At first, I wasn’t sure what to make of this concept. It seemed like a lot of work and I wasn’t sure how it could be applied to my life. But as I learned more about sustainable development, I began to understand its importance. I realized that if we don’t start making changes now, we’ll be facing an even bigger environmental crisis in the future. Sustainable development is about finding ways to reduce our impact on the environment while still meeting our needs.

It’s important to remember that sustainable development isn’t just about the environment. It’s also about social and economic justice. We need to make sure that everyone has access to the resources they need to live a healthy life. We also need to make sure that those resources are managed in a way that is fair and equitable.

Sustainable development is an important concept that we all need to understand. It’s a way of living that will help us protect our planet for future generations.
