David Looney is a Senior Research Scientist at Pindrop since May 2015, specializing in the development of technologies for authentication and fraud detection. Prior to this role, David served as a Research Scientist in the same company focused on similar technologies. At Imperial College London from October 2010 to April 2015, David led signal processing research for the ear-eeg project, an innovative approach to wearable healthcare and brain monitoring. David also participated as a Data Science Fellow at the Faculty for an eight-week program aimed at enhancing data-science skills through industry projects. Earlier experience includes working as a Research Assistant at University College Dublin, where David developed theories for digital communication systems. David holds a PhD in Statistical Signal Processing from Imperial College London and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University College Dublin.
