Ed Cameron

Ed Cameron has a diverse work experience in the field of homelessness and housing services. Ed has held various roles in different organizations, starting from their early career at Pine Street Inn, where they served as a Director and Supervisor, overseeing housing units and managing staff. Ed later joined the City of Boston as Deputy Director of the Emergency Shelter Commission, providing services to homeless individuals and families, writing grant applications, and coordinating homelessness-related activities.

In subsequent years, Ed held positions at Horizons for Homeless Children, Community Teamwork Inc., and Housing Families Inc., where they served as Director of Policy and Advocacy, Division Director of Housing and Homeless Services, and Chief Executive Officer, respectively. In these roles, they worked to end family homelessness, provided shelter and supportive services, and advocated for policy changes.

Ed also has experience in local government, as they served multiple terms as a City Councillor in Newburyport, where they chaired various committees and recently rejoined in early 2022. Additionally, they served as a Zoning Board of Appeals Member in Newburyport.
