Kate Chang

Vice President Community & Government Relations at Pine Street Inn

Kate Chang has a diverse work experience, starting in 1998 as a Consultant at ADS Ventures. Kate then worked as a Policy Analyst at the Volpe Center, US Department of Transportation, focusing on federal policies and programs related to regional transportation. From 2009 to 2019, they served as a District Representative at the US House of Representatives, where they built relationships with community members, elected officials, and advocacy groups. During this time, they also led policy initiatives in various areas such as women's health, veterans, and the environment. From 2019 to 2022, Kate worked as an Independent Consultant before joining Pine Street Inn in 2022 as the Vice President of Community & Government Relations.

Kate Chang has a Bachelor's Degree in History from Grinnell College, which they obtained in 1987. Following that, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Asian Studies/Government at The University of Texas at Austin, completing it in 1993. Subsequently, Kate Chang attended The LBJ School of Public Affairs and earned a Masters of Public Policy in Public Policy Analysis, completing their studies in 1994.
