Emerald O'Brien is a skilled media professional with extensive experience in producing and reporting. Currently serving as a Producer at Pineapple Street Media since April 2021, Emerald has previously held roles as an Associate Producer and Associate Digital Producer for the show Live from Here at American Public Media Group from November 2017 to June 2020. Early career experience includes positions at NPR as a News Assistant and Morning Edition Intern, as well as reporting for KBIA 91.3 FM, where Emerald contributed segments and newscasts. Other notable internships include a Writing Intern at Village Voice Media and a Multimedia Reporter at the Missouri School of Journalism. Emerald holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and studied at Danmarks Medie- og Journalisthøjskole in 2014.
