Kristen Werner

Kristen Werner is an experienced data professional currently serving as the Head of Data at Pinecone since September 2023. Prior to this role, Kristen held several prominent positions, including Director of Data Science and Engineering at Snowflake from March 2019 to September 2023, and Lead Data Engineer at Opendoor from February 2018 to March 2019. Additional experience includes a role as Sr Data Scientist for Augmented Reality and Content Creation at Instagram and contributions to K-12 Education software as a Sr Data Scientist at Facebook. Kristen's career began with a fellowship at Insight Data Science in 2014, following a postdoctoral fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center, and a research fellowship and lecturer position at Princeton University. Kristen earned a PhD in Neurobiology and Behavior from Columbia University and an honors thesis in Molecular Genetics / Vaccine Development from Karolinska Institutet.
