Reid Powers has a diverse range of work experience in the transportation and sustainability sectors. Reid began their career as a Transit Planning Intern at the BHJ MPC, where they gained experience in transit planning. Following this, they interned at the City of Cincinnati Office of Environment and Sustainability, where they focused on sustainability initiatives.
Reid then joined the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority as a Transit Planner, where they evaluated bus ridership, park-and-go usage, and helped with route examination and policy implementation. Reid worked closely with the scheduling and planning departments to improve public transportation services.
In 2019, Reid took on the role of Green Venue Manager at the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon. As the manager, they were responsible for overseeing the operations and execution of sustainability initiatives at the event.
Most recently, Reid joined the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority in 2020 as a Project Planner, where they are currently working on various projects related to transit planning and development.

Reid Powers completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology from Eckerd College, which spanned from 2012 to 2016. Following this, Reid pursued a Master's degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Cincinnati, attending from 2017 to 2019. In addition to academic achievements, Reid obtained certifications in Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging from LinkedIn in December 2020, and in Preparing for Your Review from LinkedIn in October 2020.
