Branko Mitrovic

Branko Mitrovic is a seasoned railway engineering professional with extensive experience in track design and alignment. Currently serving as the Lead Railway Track and Alignment Engineer at Pini Group since September 2023 and as the Founder of Railgenics since September 2021, Mitrovic previously held positions such as Senior Rail Engineer at SMEC and Senior Rail Track Engineer at Beca, where responsibilities included overseeing the development of railway track discipline and contributing to major infrastructure projects across New Zealand, Australia, and Southeast Asia. Mitrovic's expertise encompasses both practical engineering and innovative research, exemplified by work on the "Intelligent Video Gates" concept during a master's thesis at Trafikverket as part of the H2020 Shift2Rail initiative. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Transport and Geoinformation Technology from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Railway Transport and Traffic Engineering from the University of Belgrade.
