Matteo Giani

Matteo Giani is a civil engineering professional with extensive experience in design and project management within the tunneling and geotechnics sectors. Currently serving as Head of Section T&U BU International and Lead Designer/Tunnel Expert at Pini Group since February 2022, Matteo also contributes as a Faculty Lecturer at the Scuola universitaria professionale della Svizzera italiana (SUPSI) since January 2021. Previously, professional roles included Project Manager and Project Engineer at AFRY from March 2012 to January 2022, as well as a lecturer position at SBV SSE SSIC in March 2020. Matteo began the career as a Project Engineer at Rocksoil S.p.A. from February 2008 to February 2012. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnics, and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, both obtained from Politecnico di Milano.
