Shane Hanley

Shane Hanley has held various positions in the medical and data science fields since 2012. From 2012-2013, they volunteered at Eskenazi Health and Riley Hospital for Children, shadowing medical chiefs and pediatric neurosurgeons. In 2013, they worked as a Camp Counselor at The Riviera Club and a Teacher Assistant at Purdue University. From 2016-2017, they held internships at the Indiana State Department of Health and Eskenazi Health, where they conducted audits of HCW compliance and interviewed salmonellosis cases. In 2017, they also worked as an STD Epidemiology Coordinator at the Health and Hospital Corporation, Marion County Public Health Department. Currently, Shane is employed as a Data Scientist at Pinnacle Solutions Incorporated.

Shane Hanley is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Epidemiology at Indiana University\u2013Purdue University Indianapolis, which they began in 2019 and is expected to complete in 2024. Prior to this, they earned a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Indiana University\u2013Purdue University Indianapolis in 2017, and a Bachelor of Science in Movement and Sports Science/Pre-Medicine from Purdue University in 2014. Hanley has also obtained several certifications, including Applied Analytics Using SAS Enterprise Miner from SAS in 2021, Hands On Essentials - Data Warehouse from Snowflake in 2021, Programming for SAS Viya from SAS in 2021, SAS Visual Statistics on SAS Viya: Interactive Model Building from SAS in 2021, and Fitting Poisson Regression Models Using the GENMOD Procedure from SAS in 2021.
