GENERAL PURPOSE:

Engage in strategic initiatives enabling the company to reach its goals of growing Colorado workers’ comp market share, diversifying beyond Colorado workers’ comp with revenue-generating opportunities, and modernizing technology to enable our Grow and Diversify priorities. You will manage a territory of high-profile agency/broker partners that focuses on new business acquisition and existing client retention. You will achieve this by developing and executing effective sales strategies, coaching and mentoring underwriting teams, as well as building strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will also participate in activities improving the sales strategy and processes. Serve as a subject matter expert for projects, systems, and programs to ensure the voice of the agent and sales team's needs are represented in company initiatives. Provide strategic guidance, coaching, and mentoring to the Agency Sales team, supporting processes and sales initiatives to ensure consistency and use of systems and tools to achieve individual and team goals. Participate in sales enablement and training activities that develop sales skills across the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales & Account Management:
Manage a portfolio of high-profile agents within a defined territory.
Develop and execute account plans to drive sales growth and deepen relationships.
Proactively identify and address agent needs and challenges.
Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Relationship Building & Collaboration:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Effectively communicate and coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, product development).
Strategic Project Leadership:
Contribute to the development and execution of key sales strategies and initiatives.
Identify and evaluate new market opportunities and partnerships.
Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to improve sales processes, tools, and performance.
Sales Training & Development:
Contribute to designing and delivering sales training programs for the broader sales/underwriting organization.
Share best practices and insights with other team members.
Mentor and coach junior sales staff.
Subject Matter Expertise:
Serve as a trusted advisor and product expert for high-profile agents within your assigned territory.
Provide in-depth product knowledge, training, and support to agents.
Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.


ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

•  May present formally or informally to internal/ external customers 
•  Will work on special projects as assigned 
•  Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Experience: 7+ years of proven sales experience, preferably with experience in the insurance industry.

Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with high-profile clients or partners.

Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to think strategically and contribute to developing sales strategies.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.

Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of workers’ compensation products/services or the ability to quickly acquire and retain product knowledge.

Project Management: Experience leading or contributing to cross-functional projects.

Technology Proficiency: Proficient in CRM software and other relevant sales tools.

Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

Extensive telephone and computer work in office and home environments, including extensive field activities; travel via personal automobile within the state is required; must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance. May lift up to 25 pounds.

The compensation for this role is $142,100 -$150,600, with a strong bonus potential.  Multiple factors, including your experience and expertise, determine final offer amounts and may vary from the amounts listed above.
