Kim Schafer

Kim Schafer has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry spanning over several years. Kim currently holds the position of Director, Agency Relations at Pinnacol Assurance, starting in September 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Travelers as a Business Development Director from September 2018 to September 2021. Before that, they were the Director of Client Services at Flood and Peterson from August 2017 to August 2018. Kim also has experience at Liberty Mutual Insurance as the Director of Territory Management from November 2008 to August 2017, and at Van Gilder Insurance Corp. as the SVP of the Family & Business Insurance Group from April 2003 to October 2008. Earlier in their career, they worked at Kemper Insurance as the Small Business Group Marketing Manager, and at Pinnacol Assurance as the Director of Marketing Research and Product Development. Kim began their career at Guaranty National Insurance as a Marketing and Communications Specialist. Throughout their career, Kim has demonstrated skills in leadership, team management, process improvement, customer engagement, and strategic planning.

Kim Schafer obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the University of Colorado Boulder from 1986 to 1990. Subsequently, they pursued further education and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from the University of Colorado Denver, studying from 1995 to 1999.
