William Sterling

William Sterling has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. William worked as a Senior Design Manager and Senior UX Designer at Pinnacol Assurance from January 2016 to April 2021. Prior to that, they were an Art Director at LA Motion Pix from January 2012 to January 2016, where they co-wrote, produced, and directed a short psychological thriller while focusing on production design and spearheading marketing strategies. From 2001 to 2016, William Sterling worked as a UX Designer, demonstrating their interest in various fields such as blockchain, healthcare, energy, aerospace, and auto UI. William gained further experience as a UX Designer and Front-End Developer for B2B applications at Bankrate Insurance from May 2013 to January 2015. As Creative Director and UI Designer at TAPIT Worldwide from March 2012 to December 2014, they led UI design for a high-traffic customer-facing application and developed interactive front-end experiences using HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, ColdFusion, SVN, and Fusebox. From March 2010 to June 2012, they worked as a Flash Developer and UI Designer at ACT, creating interactive Flash presentations and websites and rebranding projects. Earlier in their career, they served as a UI Designer and Web Developer at America's Job Network from 2006 to 2010, focusing on the overhaul of a client portal and developing Flash websites. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Flash Developer at Webroot Software Inc in 2004 and as a Lead Video Editor at Bandwidth Communications from 2000 to 2003, where they worked on commercial projects and managed multimedia software development.

William Sterling completed their Bachelor's of Fine Art degree in Fine Art - Illustration from Columbus College of Art & Design, where they studied from 1989 to 1994. Prior to that, they attended Nutley High School from 1986 to 1989. Additionally, they obtained a BFA degree in Studio Art - Painting from the University of Colorado Boulder, where they studied from 1999 to 2001. In terms of additional certifications, they received the "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences" and "Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging" certifications from LinkedIn in October 2020.
