Co-Founder at Pint Please

Marko Kivijärvi has been involved in the software engineering industry since 2000. From 2000 to 2003, they were a SW Designer at BC Cad Center, where they did C++ programming in a Windows environment and interfaced with Autodesk Inventor 3D-CAD modeler through COM. From 2003 to 2006, they were a Senior Systems Analyst at Vega Technologies Oy, where they did software development using J2ME and mostly C++ for Symbian OS. From 2006 to 2011, they worked at Nokia, where their roles included Package Owner for FM Radio application for Symbian devices, Senior SW Engineer, Chief SW Design Engineer, and Senior SW Design Engineer. From 2011 to 2014, they were a Senior SW Engineer at Accenture. In 2014, they worked at both Microsoft as a Principal Engineer and Pint Please as Co-Founder, where they were responsible for full stack development of the Pint Please service and mostly responsible for server development and DevOps.

Marko Kivijärvi obtained a Staff Sergeant degree from Ilmavoimien teknillinen koulu (Aircraft and Weapon Systems School, Finnish Air Force) between 1996 and 1997. Marko then went on to complete a Finnish matriculation exam from Kokkolan Yhteislyseon Lukio between 1993 and 1996. Between 1997 and 2013, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Tech.) in Computer Science and a Master of Science (M.Sc. Tech.) in Computer Science, Embedded systems and software from the University of Oulu. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Certified Scrum Master, a Nokia Certified Qt Developer, and a Nokia Certified Qt Specialist.
