Josue Gio

Josue Gio is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with extensive experience in the technology and hospitality sectors. As the CEO and Co-Founder of GuruHotel, a digital hotel chain established in March 2020, Josue leads innovative initiatives in the hospitality industry. Josue also serves as a Venture Partner at Pioneer Fund, supporting Y Combinator founders in Latin America and beyond since January 2022. Additional investment roles include engagements with various startups such as PandaLabs, Apperto, Shuttle Central, Osito Media, and Mosaic Media México. Josue's entrepreneurial journey includes co-founding LastRoom, a same-day hotel booking platform, and overseeing its operations as CEO until December 2014. Josue holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Tourism Management from Universidad Anáhuac and completed Y Combinator's Winter 2020 program.
