Ashley Welke

Ashley Welke serves as the Director of Community Engagement and Learning at Pioneer Library System since October 2018, overseeing a staff of over 300 within a multi-million dollar organization. Responsibilities include long-range strategic planning, budgeting, and management of Programming, Outreach, and Collection Development departments. Earlier roles at Pioneer Library System included Regional Coordinator and Branch Manager, with a focus on branch operations, community partnerships, and customer service excellence. Prior experience includes leadership roles at the Metropolitan Library System of Oklahoma County and Target, emphasizing staff development and organizational efficiency. Ashley holds a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from UC San Diego.
