Bonnie S. Black is the SVP of Technology & Operations Support at Pioneer Natural Resources. Bonnie has over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including managerial and ownership positions.

Ms. Black started their career in the oil and gas industry in January 2007 with Pioneer Natural Resources Company as the Vice President of Well Planning & Permitting. In this role, they led the transition from routine drilling to manufacturing mode, as activity levels doubled. Ms. Black was also tasked with generating drill inventory and ensuring timely availability of all permits, land title clearance, surface access rights, partner approvals, subsurface targets, well trajectories, final geologic prognosis and AFEs.

In January 2006, Ms. Black launched Equinox Consulting, LLC, an engineering and environmental consulting company that provided engineers and project professionals to oil and gas clients in Alaska. As the owner and operator of Equinox Consulting, Ms. Black performed marketing and owner tasks while working full-time as a manager for an oil and gas client. The company employed up to 20 employees and provided services for oil and gas clients such as BP, ConocoPhillips, Unocal and Pioneer Natural Resources. Under Ms. Black’s leadership, the firm achieved multi-million dollar annual revenues by providing services through master service agreements with client companies.

Bonnie S. Black has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Roosevelt High School.

Bonnie S. Black works with Christopher M. Paulsen - Vice President, Business Development & Strategy, Mark S. Berg - EVP Corporate/Vertically Integrated Operations, and Craig Kuiper - Vice President, Production Operations. Their manager is Scott D. Sheffield, Chief Executive Officer.
