Prior to this, Tahnee worked as a Business Development Unicorn at batyr, a not-for-profit organization that promotes preventative mental health education for young people. Their role involved working on batyr's digital storytelling application, OurHerd, which aims to reduce stigma and empower young people to take positive action.

Tahnee Claeys' education history begins with their attendance at Sint-Michielscollege Brasschaat from 2000 to 2006. During this time, they pursued a curriculum that focused on Greek and Mathematics, resulting in an equivalent qualification to 'A'-levels. In 2006, Tahnee participated in the World Education Program (WEP), where they studied French and Spanish but did not earn a specific degree. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Antwerp from 2007 to 2010, completing their Bachelor's degree in Applied Economics and Science. Later, they continued their studies at the same institution, obtaining a Master's degree from 2010 to 2012.
