Michael P. has a long history of work experience. Michael began their career in 1995 as an Undergraduate Researcher at Johns Hopkins University. In 1996, they worked as a Summer Research Assistant at OHSU | Oregon Health & Science University. From 1998 to 1999, they were a Graduate Student at UCLA where they pioneered and rigorously tested a method for isolating neuronal dendrites. From 2006 to 2009, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley, where they discovered a novel molecular mechanism for retinoic acid (RA) mediated translational control at hippocampal synapses. From 2011 to 2017, they worked at Inception Sciences as an Assistant Director and Senior Scientist. Finally, they are currently working as the Director of Biology at Pipeline Therapeutics.
Michael P. completed their Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience from The Johns Hopkins University in 1998. Michael then went on to pursue a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles, which they completed in 2006.
