Joanne Hardwick is a partner at Piper Alderman. Joanne has over 18 years of experience as a commercial lawyer, specializing in banking, insolvency, and disputes.

Hardwick began their career at Mills Oakley in March 2000. Joanne spent two years there as a lawyer before moving to The Insolvency Service in September 2002. Joanne worked as a lawyer at Her Majesty's Customs and Excise from February 2003 to December 2003. In January 2004, they joined Plexus Law as a lawyer. Joanne left Plexus Law in August 2004 to join Mills Oakley again as a partner.

Hardwick spent 13 years at Mills Oakley, becoming one of the leading commercial lawyers in Australia. In August 2017, they joined DibbsBarker as a partner. Joanne left DibbsBarker in March 2018 to join Piper Alderman as a partner.

Joanne Hardwick was educated at Deakin University, where they obtained their BA/LLB, and then at the University of Southern Queensland, where they completed the Advanced Insolvency Education Program. Joanne also undertook the Company Director's Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Their manager is Tony Britten-Jones, Managing Partner. They are on a team with Tim O’Callaghan - Deputy Managing Partner, Donna Benge - Partner, and Lis Boyce - Partner.
