Claudio Franchi

Claudio Franchi has extensive work experience primarily at Pirelli, where they held various roles over the years. Claudio started in 2001 as a Program Management & Cost Control professional and also served as a Facility and Plant Manager. From 2010 to 2019, they worked as a Global Category Manager, overseeing energy and industrial indirect purchasing. During this time, they were responsible for strategic planning, supplier negotiation, and cost reduction projects. In 2017, they became the Purchasing Director for Pirelli Deutschland until 2019. In 2022, they joined Pirelli Romania as the Head of Purchasing. Prior to their time at Pirelli, they worked as a Senior Scientist at ABB and as a Researcher in Vehicle Dynamics at Dallara Automobili. Claudio also had a research role in Flight Simulator at Aermacchi.

Claudio Franchi obtained a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Milano between 1992 and 1994. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies in Aeronautics Engineering at the same institution from 1982 to 1988. In 1999-2000, they pursued an MBA in Management at SDA Bocconi.
