Tim Jagenberg

Tim Jagenberg's work experience spans over two decades and includes various roles in technology companies, research institutes, and academic institutions.

Starting from 1997, they worked as a Research Student at Fraunhofer IPA until 2000. Then, from 2003 to 2004, they were a Trainee at the University of Sydney. In 2004, they joined the University of Stuttgart as a Research Student.

From 2007 to 2008, Tim worked as a Software Development Trainee at Engineous Software and also did Freelance CAx Consulting. In 2008, they became a Scientific Assistant at Technische Universität Darmstadt, specializing in computer-integrated design. Tim held this role until 2013.

Next, from 2013 to 2016, Tim worked as a Researcher at the Norwegian Marine Technology Research Institute, focusing on the development of simulation software for maritime operations.

In 2016, they became the Chief Technology Officer at Bitreactive AS, an IoT company based in Trondheim, Norway. Tim stayed in this position until 2019.

From 2019 to 2021, Tim worked as a Senior Consultant at Webstep, a technology consulting company.

Finally, in 2021, they joined Piscada as the Chief Technology Officer. Piscada is a Trondheim-based technology company that specializes in delivering industry-independent and cloud-based software platforms to various sectors.

Throughout their career, Tim has been involved in innovation, simplification of industrial IT systems, and the integration of information technology with mechanical engineering. Tim has gained expertise in areas such as automation, Industrial IoT, and building bridges between automation and IT.

Tim Jagenberg obtained their first degree, a Dipl.-Ing., in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart. Tim attended this institution from 2001 to 2007. Following this, from 2008 to 2014, Tim pursued their higher education at Technische Universität Darmstadt, earning a Dr.-Ing. degree in Computer Integrated Design.
