Marty Baker

Marty Baker possesses over 30 years of experience in education and athletics, currently serving as a USATF HS Certified Running Coach with CoachUp since June 2019, specializing in personalized training plans for runners of all levels. In a distinguished educational career with Pitt County Schools since August 1992, Marty has held multiple leadership roles, including Principal at Wahl Coates Elementary School, Ayden-Grifton High School, and North Pitt High School, as well as serving as an Assistant Principal and a Social Studies Teacher. These roles involved the creation of shared school visions, fostering conducive learning cultures, managing operations, and collaborating with families and communities. Marty holds an Educational Specialist Degree and a Master's in School Administration from East Carolina University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in High School History Education.
