Dawn Posey

Dawn Posey serves as the Assistant Principal Second Violin for the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra since 2011 and holds multiple teaching positions, including Adjunct Instructor of Violin at St. Vincent's College and Violin Instructor at Pittsburgh Music Academy, both since 2009. Additional performance experience includes roles as Violinist for Pittsburgh Opera, and Assistant Concertmaster for both the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra from 2007 to 2013 and the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra from 2004 to 2007. Dawn Posey also fulfilled an Adjunct Faculty position at the University of Evansville during the same timeframe. Education includes a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (1999-2002) and studies at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee (1998-1999).
