Robert Driscoll

Principal Oboe at Pittsburgh Opera

Robert Driscoll is an accomplished oboist and educator with extensive experience in both performance and instruction. Currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor of Oboe at High Point University since August 2017, Robert has held principal oboe positions with several prestigious organizations, including Buzzard's Bay MusicFest, Wheeling Symphony, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, and Pittsburgh Opera, all of which date back to the 1990s. Additionally, Robert founded Opus1 Gougers, specializing in the manufacture of sophisticated oboe equipment. Robert's academic credentials include a Master's degree in Music Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music and a Bachelor of Arts in music and math from Case Western Reserve University, complemented by a high school diploma in oboe performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
