Carrie Woodard, MA, NCC, NCSC has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the education field. Carrie currently serves as the Director of Student Support Services - School Counselors at Pittsburgh Public Schools since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Propel Schools from 2017 to 2022, where they held positions such as Propel Partners In Wellness Project Manager and College and Career Counselor. Carrie also served as a School Counselor at Propel Braddock Hills High School from 2016 to 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Success Advisor at Argosy University in 2015 and as a Graduate Assistant at UNC Charlotte from 2014 to 2015. Carrie also gained experience as an Administrator and College Counselor Intern at The Davidson Center for Learning and Academic Planning from 2012 to 2014. Before that, they worked as a Social Studies Teacher at ROBERT BENJAMIN WILEY COMMUNITY CS SCHOOL DISTRICT from 2010 to 2012 and as a Lead Teacher at Germantown Jewish Centre from 2009 to 2010.
Carrie Woodard, MA, NCC, NCSC holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Secondary Education, with a focus on Social Studies and History, from Temple University. Carrie further pursued their education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in School Counseling. Carrie Woodard also completed a School Principal Certification program at Point Park University. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education. Carrie is certified as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a National Certified School Counselor (NCSC) by The National Board for Certified Counselors. Carrie Woodard also holds various other certifications in specialized areas such as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Anxiety and Stress Management, Closing the Achievement Gap, College Admissions, Trauma and Crisis Management, and Educational Specialist certifications related to elementary and secondary school counseling. Carrie is also a holder of a Professional Teaching Certificate in Social Studies Education and a Standard Professional II certification in School Counselor.
