Robert E. Frioni, Ed.D. has over 20 years of experience in the education field. Robert E. started their career in 1999 as an English and Social Studies teacher, working in various school districts including Pittsburgh Public, Sto-Rox, and Norwin. In 2006, they transitioned to a Vice Principal role within the Pittsburgh Public Schools, where they served until 2010. From 2010 to 2015, they held the position of Jr./Sr. High School Principal at Fort Cherry School District. In 2015, they became the Assistant Director and Principal at Steel Center Area Vocational Technical School, a position they held until 2020. Currently, they are serving as a School Principal at Pittsburgh Public Schools.
Robert E. Frioni, Ed.D. holds a Doctor of Education degree in Administrative and Policy Studies: PK-12 School Leadership from the University of Pittsburgh, which they obtained from 2011 to 2013. Robert E. also has a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in Instruction and Learning: Social Studies from the University of Pittsburgh, earned from 1999 to 2000. Additionally, they completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Economics; Pre-Law from Washington & Jefferson College, graduating in 1998. In terms of certifications, Frioni has obtained various qualifications including CTE Administrative Director 7-12, Superintendent PK-12, Principal PK-12, English 7-12, and Social Studies 7-12, all granted by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
