Laura Scoda is a residency-trained veterinary neurologist at Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center since September 2020. Prior experience includes a neurology residency at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine from July 2017 to September 2020, neurology internships at Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine and Affiliated Veterinary Specialists, and a rotating internship at The Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island. Laura began the veterinary career as a research assistant at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, contributing to a study on the nutritional effects on black rhinoceros and presenting findings at the 2012 AAZV Conference. Additional experiences encompass volunteering at Ohio Wildlife Center and serving as a microbiology lab teaching assistant at the University of Scranton. Laura holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Philosophy, and English from the University of Scranton.
