Dave Heavener currently serves as Fire Chief for Pittsfield Charter Township since January 2024. Previously, Dave held the position of Fire Chief for the City of Livonia from March 2018 to April 2022. Prior experience includes serving as Training Coordinator for the Livonia Fire Department from December 1995 to March 2018, where responsibilities involved administering, coordinating, developing, and instructing across various fire service and emergency medicine disciplines. Additionally, Dave was the Chief Operating Officer at Medic One Ambulance from June 1993 to June 2005. Educational credentials include a degree in Fire Staff and Command from Eastern Michigan University, a Bachelor's degree in Fire Science Engineering and a degree in Fire Science from the University of Cincinnati, along with an Associate's degree in Emergency Medicine from Henry Ford College.
