Kent Wood has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in different companies. Kent'sprofessional journey began at the University of Georgia in 2000 as a Lab Assistant before moving on to become a Lab Technician. Kent then transitioned to Vail Resorts in 2001, where they served as a Team Leader in Lift Operations. In 2003, they joined Northwestern University as a Research Technician, focusing on genetic marker analysis and emerging technologies. Kent then advanced to DuPont Pioneer in 2011 as a Discovery Postdoctoral Researcher, eventually becoming a Research Scientist until 2018. Currently, they are with Pivot Bio, holding positions as Director of Plant Biology and Director of Product and Technology Validation from 2018 onwards.
Kent Wood completed a Bachelor of Science in Genetics at The University of Georgia from 1996 to 2000. Kent then pursued their PhD in Genetics and Genomics at Duke University, graduating in 2010.
