Heather started their career as a PR Intern at AMP Publicity, where they wrote copy for press releases, concert descriptions, websites, social media, and blogs. Heather then interned as a Copywriter at Elevator Agency, where they gained experience in mood boards, UX, wireframes, creative strategy, and copywriting. Heather continued their internship journey at Sensis as a Creative Intern, where they worked on ad campaigns and gained insights into targeting specific audiences.

Heather then took on the role of VP, Copywriter at AAF National Student Advertising Competition, managing the Creative and Production departments and creating Out-of-Home (OOH) and brand materials. Continuing their education, Heather worked part-time as a Recreation Attendant at La Costa Resort and Spa while pursuing a full-time college education as a student intern.

In 2015, Heather joined Vitamin T as a Freelance Copywriter, creating engaging and informative content in the form of eBooks, user guides, brochures, and flowcharts. Heather also wrote and edited copy for the CAPA website and other promotional materials. Later that year, they started working at Pixability, initially as an SEO Copywriter, then as a Senior SEO Copywriter, and finally as the Manager of Organic Strategy.
