Douglas Billman

Global Business Development at Pixellot

Douglas Billman has a diverse and extensive work experience in the sports industry. Douglas began their career at the North American Soccer League Marketing as the Director of Sales and Promotions. Douglas then moved on to IMG, where they held various positions including Vice President Marketing and Consulting Europe, and Vice President - Commercial Development. During their time at IMG, they developed and implemented sponsorship programs for clients such as Guinness, Yves St. Laurent, and Proctor and Gamble.

Afterwards, Billman joined European Tour Productions as the Managing Director, where they played a pivotal role in establishing the media and commercial arm of the PGA European Tour. Douglas also created and led the development of Tour Productions, which produces live coverage and highlights of golf tournaments across Europe.

Billman further expanded their career by joining IMG Media as the Senior Corporate VP, where they managed the daily operations of TWIi and oversaw the development and maintenance of websites for various clients. Douglas also created a full-service hosting operation to provide managed services.

More recently, Billman worked at Progress Partners as an Executive in Residence, providing strategic consulting and investment banking services to technology companies in the advertising/marketing and sports sectors. Douglas also served as an Advisor/Judge at Stadia Ventures, a global Sports Innovation Hub, and played a significant role in the investment and development of portfolio companies.

Currently, Billman is involved with Pixellot - Automatic Sports Production as part of their Global Business Development team. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated a strong knowledge of the sports industry, strategic consulting, investment banking, and business development.

Douglas Billman completed their BA in History from Yale University between 1972 and 1976. Douglas then pursued a Master of Education (MEd) in Sports Administration at the Ohio University School of Sports Administration in 1977, but did not complete the degree.
