Daniel Hunnicutt has extensive work experience in the gaming industry. Daniel currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Pizza Club Games since May 2020. Prior to this role, they were a Principal Engineer at the same company from January 2020 to May 2020.
Before joining Pizza Club Games, Daniel worked at NCSOFT as a Lead Engineer from April 2015 to January 2020. During their tenure, they were involved in all aspects of a major AAA quality unannounced mobile project, including concept, prototype, vertical slice, and soft launch. Daniel played a key role in architecting various systems such as tools/pipelines, game data, AI, gameplay, UI, networking, and build/deployment. Daniel also contributed to building and leading a new studio, which grew to over 20 engineers and 100 team members.
From 2012 to 2015, Daniel worked as a Senior Gameplay Engineer at Electronic Arts. Daniel was responsible for developing gameplay features for video games. Prior to this, they served as a Gameplay Programmer at Jagex from July 2011 to January 2012 and as a Software Engineer at Kaneva from May 2008 to July 2011.
Daniel's career started in academia, where they gained research and software engineering experience. Daniel worked as a Research Assistant at the Augmented Environments Lab, Georgia Institute of Technology from August 2007 to August 2008. Earlier, from January 2007 to May 2008, they served as a Software Engineer at the IMAGINE Lab, also at Georgia Institute of Technology.
Daniel Hunnicutt received their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Daniel attended the institution from 2004 to 2008. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the same institution. Daniel attended the Georgia Institute of Technology for their master's degree from 2008 to 2010.
