Stefan Hoevenaar

Stefan Hoevenaar has a diverse work experience with a focus on innovation, prototyping, and founding and managing various businesses. Stefan started their career as a Strategy Manager/Director at FHV BBDO in 1999 and later worked as a Freelance Online Strategy Consultant at HVNR from 2002 to 2009. In 2004, they founded simPC, a company that developed and launched an easy-to-use computer. From 2003 to 2009, they also worked as an Associate Consultant at PROOF, specializing in employee alignment and employer branding. In 2006, they became a Lecturer of "Ideas in Reality" at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. In 2009, they founded ILUMY prototyping, where they served as both Founder and Managing Director until 2013. Stefan then continued as Founder and Prototyper until present. In 2010, they founded Zapaday, a company focused on predicting the future. From 2014, they became the Founder and Director of Community Consulting at Plek. In 2019, they joined DEARhealth as a Prototyper. Stefan also founded Welkom in 2020, where they held the position of Founder and MD, making online and hybrid meetings uniquely social and effective until 2022.

Stefan Hoevenaar began their education at Praedinius gymnasium from 1982 to 1985. Stefan then attended St Maartens College from 1985 to 1987. Finally, they pursued a degree in Economics and Business Administration at the University of Groningen from 1988 to 1995.
