Erik Baars

Erik Baars is a seasoned UX Design Lead at PlaceMakers since February 2022, with a diverse background in user experience and digital design spanning over a decade. Previous roles include Ecommerce Manager at ilabb and Product Designer at Foster Moore, where Erik contributed to impactful projects in various sectors, including tourism and education. Noteworthy experience at Ngāi Tahu Tourism involved enhancing user experience for one of Aotearoa's largest tourism operators. Erik has also served as Digital Specialist at EdventureCo and Digital Manager at Dimes Australia, focusing on user-centered design and online marketing strategies. With a strong foundation in graphic design from Wintec, Erik holds both a Bachelor of Mediarts and an Honours Degree in Graphic Design, further enhancing a comprehensive skill set in digital interfaces and user interactions.
