Gerardo Gamez is an experienced Hydro Engineer II specializing in electrical engineering at Placer County Water Agency since September 2022. Prior to this, Gerardo served as Maintenance Chief Engineer for hydroelectric power stations in Honduras and El Salvador from October 2008 to June 2022, where responsibilities included planning maintenance based on condition assessments and managing preventive maintenance for electromechanical equipment. Gerardo also has a background in thermal power station maintenance and academic experience as a Physics Professor and Laboratory Instructor at the Autonomous National University of Honduras (UNAH) from 2006 to 2017. Gerardo holds a Master's degree in Physics and an engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras, along with early education in Science and Letters from Experimental Institute La Salle.
