Shelley Hutton

Shelley Hutton is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in public affairs and stakeholder relations. Currently serving as Head of Public Affairs and Head of External Communication at Places for People since February 2023, Hutton previously held multiple senior roles within Places for People Scotland, including Head of Stakeholder Relations and Customer Service and Research Manager. Hutton's volunteer work includes serving as Child Protection and Wellbeing Officer at Boroughmuir Cricket Club and involvement with U-Evolve as Chair of the Board of Trustees, focusing on PR, communications, and youth support. Hutton’s career also features positions at Castle Rock Edinvar Housing Association, Spartans Community Football Club, and various educational and community initiatives. Hutton holds a Postgraduate degree in Housing from Heriot-Watt University and an MA (Hons) in Politics and Modern History from The University of Edinburgh.
