Lindsey McCoy has been in the professional workforce since 1998, beginning their career as the VP, Programs and Administration at The Community Foundation Serving Boulder County. Lindsey then moved to Friends of the Environment as the Executive Director in 2005. In 2008, they became a Management and Development Consultant for Nonprofit Consulting. In 2013, they were the CEO of Save The Bays, and in 2015, they became a Recruiter for Joppa Medical Recruiting. Most recently, in 2016, they co-founded Plaine Products, a sustainable packaging company providing returnable, refillable reusable aluminum bottles full of all natural, vegan, toxin-free shampoo, conditioner, body wash & lotion, with the mission of helping eliminate the need for single use plastics in the world.
Lindsey McCoy received a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from The University of the South in 1996. Lindsey then went on to receive a Master's Degree in Nonprofit Management from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University Bloomington in 1998.
