Payton D. Cooke

Payton D. Cooke is a seasoned education professional currently serving as a Reference Librarian at CT State Quinebaug Valley since June 2024. Additionally, Cooke has been involved with Plainfield Public Schools since November 2021, where responsibilities have included working as a Substitute Teacher and a Permanent Building Substitute Teacher, fostering student engagement and holistic learning across various subjects. Experience also includes a role as a Long Term Substitute Teacher, guiding students' reintegration into in-person education post-pandemic, and teaching in Summer Enrichment Programs. Prior experience includes graduate assistantships at Syracuse University School of Information Studies, where Cooke supported faculty initiatives and research activities.
