Cem Özer is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. Currently serving as Co-Founder and CEO of Sovereign Labs and Advisor and Co-Founder at Plaintext Capital, Cem has a strong background in Ethereum development, having worked as an Ethereum Core Dev and Research Engineer for PegaSys Protocol Engineering from February 2019 to February 2021. During this time, Cem played a pivotal role in the production and launch of the Ethereum consensus client Teku and the Ethereum Beacon Chain. Cem holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Northwestern University and graduated from VKV Koç High School.
